Find the next thing to verify or practise before an Ausbildung application. Here, your route means the occupation you are considering and whether the training is dual or school-based. Your five choices become an ordered plan. The tool does not score you or decide whether you qualify.
Find your next Ausbildung preparation step
Answer five short questions to put your next checks and practice in order. The result is a plan, not a score or an eligibility decision.
Your answers stay in this tab. They are not saved, submitted, added to a URL, or included in analytics.
Use the five-step checklist below to put your preparation in order.
Question 1 of 5
Your preparation plan
Start with the first unfinished step
Choose the occupation and training type first. Those decisions change the school, company, language, and official checks that follow.
Start with one current vacancy or school programme. Its real requirements should direct the rest of your preparation.
Practise the German tasks you will need to apply and answer questions about your own evidence.
Tailor your application to the listing you chose, then check that you can explain every claim in your own words.
Verify the recognition or visa information that may apply to this route on the current official page.
You have checked each preparation stage. Recheck the live listing, rehearse your evidence aloud, and return to the current official page before you submit anything.
Confirm the training type
Check whether the occupation uses dual or school-based training and note the entry rules for that route.
Record the start date, deadline, school qualification, German requirement, requested documents, and application method. Ask the organisation about any missing detail.
Remove generic lines. Connect each important requirement to a school subject, project, internship, job, or other experience you can support and explain.
Write down the unresolved point and contact the organisation or authority named for that route. Keep admission, recognition, and visa questions separate.
Compare the deadline, method, documents, and each important claim one more time. Then practise explaining your evidence aloud and use the current official page for any recognition or visa step.
It cannot establish admission, certificate recognition, visa eligibility, interview readiness, or whether an authority will accept a document. Use the current listing and the responsible organisation or authority for those decisions.
Why these five checks come in this order
Each check gives you information needed for the next one. Choose the occupation and training type first. Then use a current listing to decide which German, application, recognition, and visa work matters.
1. Occupation and training type
A dual Ausbildung combines a company with vocational school. A school-based programme follows the entry rules for that school and occupation. The training type tells you whether to start with a company or school and which entry rules to check. Start with the federal occupation guide if you have not chosen yet, or the occupation shortlist comparer to put two or three names side by side on length, training type and entry expectations first.
2. One current vacancy or programme
A current listing turns general guidance into a real deadline and requirements list. Record its start date, deadline, school qualification, German requirement, requested documents, and application method. You need those facts before deciding which German practice and application work matters. The organisation can clarify anything its listing leaves open.
3. German you can use
German is used in the company, vocational school, and examinations. A certificate does not replace the ability to explain why you are applying, give a true example, understand a follow-up question, and ask for clarification. The B1 and Ausbildung guide helps you test those tasks.
4. A truthful, tailored application
The listing tells you which claims and documents matter. Match each important requirement to an example you can explain. Follow the requested documents and submission method rather than a generic online checklist. The Federal Employment Agency application guide explains the process.
5. Recognition and visa information
Once you know the occupation, training type, and listing, check which recognition or visa information may apply. Company admission, school-certificate recognition, and immigration are separate checks. Use the current federal training requirements and vocational-training visa page, then ask the responsible organisation or authority about your case.
